Release-please-action bumped to v5.0.0
The automated release workflow has been updated to use the latest release-please-action (v5.0.0), which ships with Node 24 support and includes three bug-fix releases of the underlying release-please library.
The release automation tooling has been refreshed. The release-please GitHub Action is now pinned to v5.0.0, bringing the workflow in line with the latest Node 24 runtime and an updated release-please library (v17.3.0 to v17.6.0). This means the automated release pipeline is running on a more current Node version and benefits from several bug fixes that have accumulated since the last update. The change applies to the release workflow in .github/workflows/release-please.yml.
